I started at Charing Cross and began walking with no objective in mind. I started shooting once I got to Trafalgar Square.
My education began; "Street Photography represents the possibility of capturing the humanity in the moment and being ready for the emotional content in the moment to strike".
I couldn't help but wonder what was going through this gentleman's mind as he sat, perched in mid air. Watching people watching him was equally entertaining.
Street Photography is all about people interacting with life, no matter what shows up.
One of the most famous streets in London, Cecil Court. Home to one of my favourite book shops, "David Drummond". This book shop is primarily a theatrical book shop, however, it is home to many wonderful books on my favourite subject, "MAGIC".
Whenever I am in the area, I always look in the window to see if there are any classic book on magic for sale.
What I appreciate about this shop is that Mr Drummond knows the value of a good book. Many classic books featured here start around £35.00 going upwards.
I really like this shot taken in Bloomsbury Gardens on the east side of The Brtish Museum. I saw a similar shot taken by Scott Kelby. The difference was, in Scott Kelby's image, there was a lot of trees over hanging the trail. Here in my shot, the frame work looks like a skeleton, framed by the naked branches. As I took the shot, I remembered "The Rule Thirds" in composition and "Leading Lines" as the trail leads the eye towards some unknown destination.
Speaking of The British Museum
Here it is.
I wanted to experiment with the railings and the columns of this iconic building. After several shots, I liked this one. There was a bit of building work going on and I wanted to avoid an interference in my composition.
So far, my camera walks have yielded some interesting shots, nothing spectacular or emotional compelling. As a new student in this exciting game, I am learning to see the world in a whole new light. I am really paying attention to my environment and my emotions about it all. I am hopeful that I will have some exciting images to share with you all.
