I am really enjoying the journey photography has taken me on. It has become much more than just point and shoot. For me, my photography has become a journey of self-discovery.
What I have learnt about myself is that I really care about people - every person I have interacted with has revealed to me my own humanity. This has exposed me to trusting the process of life much more than I have. I must confess, that I have experienced myself being cynical towards life. I am glad that I caught myself because, I do believe that it is a beautiful gift that we all share. It becomes much more beautiful when we share our lives with those that matter to us.
Devleoping my skill in Street Photography and Street Portraits has developed my confidence in speaking with complete strangers regardless of whether I got to take a shot or not.
I have experienced a few 'no thank you" and accepted it with a smile and good grace.
Today, I have been working on my Depth of Field shooting with a view to doing some Landscape work when I travel abroad. In July, I am excited to visit Croatia again. My friend Vladimir and I will visit the famous Plitvice Waterfalls at The National Park and I want to be ready. I am considering investing in a Ultra Wide Angle Lens specifically for this trip - it will be a choice between the Sigma 10-20mm or the Tokina 11-16mm.
Below are some shots I took today using the wide end of my Sigma 18-250 mm. Enjoy
