Today was a breakthrough experience for me. I challenged myself to take some shots in pure Manuel Mode on my D90. It wasn't easy, however, it was the start of a whole new relationship with my camera and my vision for how I want my photographs to look and feel.
I love the simplicity of using my 50 mm because it forced me to frame the shot, use my feet for zooming and for composing an interesting perspective on what could become a boring shot.
London is full of interesting sites waiting to be discovered. This statue of William Shakespeare has been in my orbit every time I have walked through Leicester Square and yet it never dawned on me. My camera has given me the power to be more observant and considerate of my surroundings.
The great Shakespear, the story teller, created magical images in our minds with the power of words. Great photographers like Ansel Adams touched our hearts with their vision and skill.
