Ebracing the craft of photography for me, means learning every aspect of image creation through my D90. Over the last few weeks, I have experienced the magic of night photography. I never imagined that photography at night would yield such an amazing array of colours, depth and beauty.
This aspect of the craft is so different to any other style of work and I love it. Part of my plan is to learn and master the techniques so that when I travel, I come home with the shots I want and visualise.
London is beautiful at night, the lights of our iconic buildings really brings to life the majestic stature of London - one of the most amazing cities in the world to shoot. I have come to appreciate London in a whole new way.
I take for granted, Big Ben and The London Eye, because I live here. During the day, they are still amazing, at night I have experienced them in a way which is quite breathtaking. Looking for the right angle and shot is interesting because these shots have been taken by everyone with a camera. My challenge is making each of my shots "feel" different to anyone who sees my images.
These shots are nice, I am happy with them and they represents to me the capabilities of my D90 at this stage of my development as a "creative photographer".
I plan to return to these famous landmarks again and re-shoot them as my experience and technique improves. For now, I am happy.
